Welcome to I’M THE VILLAIN, a podcast about 2 millennials trying to decode, deconstruct, and dismantle the world as we know it.
The show is a conversational podcast where we talk about all the things that are fucked up about the status quo in America, from the perspective of the villain (Isabel) and hero (Deondre’). We talk about norms we think need to change in society and talk with other millennials about how to change those norms, including our obsession with work, the culture of quantifying everything we do, social media, the way we treat relationships, and more.

The Hosts
Isabel & Deondre’
Isabel Knight is co-host of the I’M THE VILLAIN podcast. Originally from Connecticut, she is a designer by trade and got into podcasting because she kept having a lot of the same conversations with friends over and over again until it occurred to her that she could just record them and put them on the internet. As someone who is unhealthily extroverted, it was a relief to find an activity where she can listen to the sound of people speaking for hours on end and pretend she isn’t alone. She has bad taste in food and good taste in longform articles. Right now she is listening to Freakonomics, How I Built This, and the Ezra Klein Show.

Deondre’ Jones is the co-host of the I’M THE VILLAIN podcast. Deondre’ is a policy researcher by trade whose southern roots make him feel out of place in DC. His loves are music (damn near any genre), unstructured hang-out time, food, and his hobbies (cooking, racquetball, videogames, longboarding, climbing, etc). His friend Isabel pulled him into podcasting partly because talking about millennial topics comes easy to him and partly because the old co-host quit and he was the next best thing.
